    Josh Allred

    Ruckus Maker and Chief Executive Officer

    Josh is the creator and chief architect of Pivot Adventure Co. Josh started this workshop to make a dent in the industry that has got out of hand. He graduated from Utah Valley University with a degree in Outdoor Recreation Management. With over 15 years of experience working with youth, Josh defines his career by the impact he’s had in teaching others. His other big project to date is his blog with over 1,100 consecutive posts about breaking false limits and leveling up.


    Katie Allred

    Trailblazer and Chief Financial Officer

    Katie is the co-creator of Pivot Adventure Co. Katie works to open doors for people who will turn around and open doors for others. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Commercial Recreation Management. Katie has guided for the National Park Service and various wilderness therapy programs. She has volunteered at Slate Canyon Detention Center, BYU Adaptive Aquatics and Courage Reins Equestrian Ranch. She believes using new environments to inspire change and teach life skills to youth.


    Angela Shields, CTRS

    Rock Warrior and Recreation Therapist

    Angela is an adventure seeker and loves sharing these experiences with others. She has worked as a professional guide and graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Recreation Management and Youth Leadership with an emphasis in Recreation Therapy. She has worked in various wilderness therapy programs and residential treatment centers. She loves working with youth and has a passion for helping them realize their inherent worth. Angela believes that we all have a core need to be loved and have fun, and she has dedicated her life to helping others fulfill these needs.


    Halie Boardman, LCSW

    Chief Thought Provoker and Director of Therapy

    Halie believes that those who light the world are the ones who can change it. Halie utilizes Play Therapy to help children express their experiences and understand their world through their natural language of play. Halie also provides space that allows teens and adults to feel safe enough to express their thoughts and emotions while gaining understanding and skills to cope with struggles and create lasting change. She graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Social Work and has a Masters in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis.
